Ryzen 3 3200U vs Celeron J6412 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3200U beats the Celeron J6412 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron J6412 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J6412 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 3200U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200U has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J6412. The Celeron J6412 outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200U thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Celeron J6412 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 3200U. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
