Ryzen 3 3200G vs Xeon E3-1241 v3 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E3-1241 v3 performs better than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Xeon E3-1241 v3 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3200G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon E3-1241 v3. Also, the Ryzen 3 3200G has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 3200G CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E3-1241 v3 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
