Ryzen 3 3200G vs Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 3200G performs better than the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Also, the Ryzen 3 3200G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
