Ryzen 3 3200G vs Ryzen 7 5800X comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 5800X performs better than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3200G in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5800X has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3200G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3200G. A Ryzen 3 3200G CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 5800X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G. The Ryzen 7 5800X also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
