Ryzen 3 3200G vs Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U is faster than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U. Also, the Ryzen 3 3200G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
