Ryzen 3 3200G vs Ryzen 5 7520U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 3200G is faster than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7520U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 7520U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3200G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7520U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7520U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
