Ryzen 3 3200G vs Ryzen 5 5600G specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5600G is faster than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3200G in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 5 5600G has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600G has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 3200G. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3200G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600G has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3200G. The Ryzen 5 5600G also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
