Ryzen 3 3200G vs Ryzen 5 4500U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 4500U is faster than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3200G in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 3200G has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3200G. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U. The Ryzen 5 4500U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3200G. The Ryzen 5 4500U also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
