Ryzen 3 3200G vs FX-9590 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the FX-9590 beats the Ryzen 3 3200G in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the FX-9590 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-9590 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G. A Ryzen 3 3200G CPU outputs less heat than a FX-9590 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-9590 has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3200G. The FX-9590 also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
