Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i7-8700T benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 3200G performs better than the Core i7-8700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-8700T in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-8700T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 3200G has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3200G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-8700T. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The Core i7-8700T outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 3200G has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-8700T. Despite this, the Core i7-8700T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
