Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i5-9400T specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3200G beats the Core i5-9400T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-9400T in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-9400T has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Indeed, the Core i5-9400T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 3200G. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3200G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-9400T. The Core i5-9400T outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 3200G has more L2 cache than the Core i5-9400T. Despite this, the Core i5-9400T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
