Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i3-N305 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-N305 is faster than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-N305 has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 3200G. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-N305. Also, the Ryzen 3 3200G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-N305 outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-N305 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G. The Core i3-N305 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
