Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i3-9300 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3200G beats the Core i3-9300 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-9300 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9300 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3200G. The Core i3-9300 outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 3200G has more L2 cache than the Core i3-9300. Despite this, the Core i3-9300 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
