Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i3-9100F specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-9100F performs better than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3200G in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. According to our data, the Ryzen 3 3200G and Core i3-9100F have the same clock speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200G has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-9100F. Despite this, the Core i3-9100F has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
