Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i3-9100 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-9100 is faster than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3200G in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. In terms of clock speed, the Ryzen 3 3200G and Core i3-9100 are identical in this regard. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200G has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-9100. Despite this, the Core i3-9100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
