Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i3-10100 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-10100 is faster than the Ryzen 3 3200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3200G in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i3-10100 has more threads. In terms of clock speed, the Ryzen 3 3200G and Core i3-10100 are identical in this regard. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200G has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-10100. Despite this, the Core i3-10100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 3200G.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
