Ryzen 3 3200G vs Core i3-1005G1 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3200G beats the Core i3-1005G1 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-1005G1 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 3 3200G has significantly more cores than the Core i3-1005G1. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3200G has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-1005G1. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-1005G1. Also, the Ryzen 3 3200G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1005G1 outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 3200G has more L2 cache than the Core i3-1005G1. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
