Ryzen 3 3100 vs Core i5-10300H comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 3100 beats the Core i5-10300H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10300H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3100 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10300H. Despite this, the Core i5-10300H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-10300H outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3100 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 3100 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-10300H. The Ryzen 3 3100 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
