Ryzen 3 3100 vs Core i3-8350K benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 3100 is faster than the Core i3-8350K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8350K in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 3 3100 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-8350K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 3100. A Ryzen 3 3100 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-8350K CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3100 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-8350K. The Ryzen 3 3100 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
