Ryzen 3 3100 vs Core i3-1215U benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-1215U is faster than the Ryzen 3 3100. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3100 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-1215U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 3100 that has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3100 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1215U. Despite this, the Core i3-1215U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1215U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3100 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i3-1215U has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3100. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i3-1215U.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 3100 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
