Ryzen 3 2300X vs Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U beats the Ryzen 3 2300X in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 2300X has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 2300X that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 2300X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 2300X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 2300X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 2300X. The Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
