Ryzen 3 2300X vs Core i3-N300 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 2300X beats the Core i3-N300 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-N300 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-N300 has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 2300X has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 2300X. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 2300X has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-N300. Also, the Ryzen 3 2300X has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-N300 outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 2300X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-N300 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 2300X. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 2300X has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i3-N300.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
