Ryzen 3 2300X vs Core i3-9100F specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-9100F is faster than the Ryzen 3 2300X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 2300X in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9100F has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 2300X. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 2300X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-9100F. The Ryzen 3 2300X also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
