Ryzen 3 2300U vs Ryzen 5 1500X benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 1500X beats the Ryzen 3 2300U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 2300U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 1500X has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 1500X has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 2300U. Also, the Ryzen 5 1500X has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 2300U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 1500X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 5 1500X also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
