Ryzen 3 2300U vs Core i5-10300H specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-10300H performs better than the Ryzen 3 2300U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 2300U in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i5-10300H has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-10300H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 2300U. Also, the Core i5-10300H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 2300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-10300H CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 2300U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-10300H. Despite this, the Core i5-10300H has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 2300U.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
