Ryzen 3 2300U vs Core i3-7350K benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 2300U performs better than the Core i3-7350K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-7350K in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 3 2300U has significantly more cores than the Core i3-7350K. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 2300U has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-7350K. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-7350K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 2300U. A Ryzen 3 2300U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-7350K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 2300U has more L2 cache than the Core i3-7350K. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
