Ryzen 3 2200U vs Xeon X5450 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon X5450 beats the Ryzen 3 2200U in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 2200U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon X5450 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 2200U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon X5450 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 2200U. A Ryzen 3 2200U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5450 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Xeon X5450 has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 2200U
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 2200U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
