Ryzen 3 2200G vs Ryzen 5 4600G specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 4600G is faster than the Ryzen 3 2200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 2200G in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 4600G has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 2200G has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 2200G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4600G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 2200G. Also, the Ryzen 5 4600G has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 5 4600G has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 2200G. The Ryzen 5 4600G also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
