Ryzen 3 2200G vs Ryzen 3 2300X specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 2300X is faster than the Ryzen 3 2200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 2200G in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. In terms of clock speed, the Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 3 2300X are identical in this regard. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 2300X has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 3 2300X also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
