Ryzen 3 2200G vs Core i7-3820 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-3820 is faster than the Ryzen 3 2200G. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 2200G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i7-3820 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-3820 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 2200G. Also, the Core i7-3820 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 2200G CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-3820 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
