Ryzen 3 2200G vs Core i7-10700K benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-10700K performs better than the Ryzen 3 2200G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 2200G in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-10700K has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 2200G that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 2200G. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-10700K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 2200G. Also, the Core i7-10700K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 2200G CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-10700K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i7-10700K also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 2200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
