Ryzen 3 1300X vs Xeon X5650 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 1300X beats the Xeon X5650 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5650 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon X5650 has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 1300X has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1300X. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 1300X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon X5650. Also, the Ryzen 3 1300X has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 1300X CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5650 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 1300X has more L2 cache than the Xeon X5650. Despite this, the Xeon X5650 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 1300X.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
