Ryzen 3 1300X vs Xeon E3-1240 V2 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E3-1240 V2 is faster than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Xeon E3-1240 V2 has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 1300X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E3-1240 V2. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 1300X has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon E3-1240 V2. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
