Ryzen 3 1300X vs Ryzen 7 7800X3D specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D performs better than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1300X in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 1300X that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1300X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Also, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 1300X CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 1300X. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
