Ryzen 3 1300X vs Ryzen 5 3500X benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 3500X is faster than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1300X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 3500X has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 1300X has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 3500X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 1300X. Also, the Ryzen 5 3500X has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 5 3500X has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 1300X. The Ryzen 5 3500X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
