Ryzen 3 1300X vs Core i7-8700T comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-8700T performs better than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1300X in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-8700T has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Indeed, the Core i7-8700T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 1300X. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1300X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 1300X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-8700T. Despite this, the Core i7-8700T has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-8700T outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 1300X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 1300X has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-8700T. Despite this, the Core i7-8700T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 1300X.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
