Ryzen 3 1300X vs Core i7-4930MX specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-4930MX beats the Ryzen 3 1300X in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i7-4930MX has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 1300X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-4930MX. Despite this, the Core i7-4930MX has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-4930MX outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 1300X thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 1300X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-4930MX. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
