Ryzen 3 1300X vs Core i5-9600KF benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-9600KF beats the Ryzen 3 1300X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1300X in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-9600KF has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Indeed, the Core i5-9600KF has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 1300X. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1300X. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-9600KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Also, the Core i5-9600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 1300X CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-9600KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 1300X has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-9600KF. Despite this, the Core i5-9600KF has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 1300X.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
