Ryzen 3 1300X vs Core i5-8500T specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 3 1300X beats the Core i5-8500T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-8500T in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-8500T has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Indeed, the Core i5-8500T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 1300X. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1300X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 1300X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-8500T. Also, the Ryzen 3 1300X has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-8500T outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 1300X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 1300X has more L2 cache than the Core i5-8500T. Despite this, the Core i5-8500T has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 1300X.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
