Ryzen 3 1300X vs Core i5-7600K comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-7600K beats the Ryzen 3 1300X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1300X in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-7600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Also, the Core i5-7600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 1300X CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-7600K CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 3 1300X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-7600K. The Ryzen 3 1300X also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
