Ryzen 3 1300X vs Core i5-10300H specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-10300H performs better than the Ryzen 3 1300X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1300X in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i5-10300H has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 1300X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-10300H. Despite this, the Core i5-10300H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-10300H outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 1300X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 1300X has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-10300H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1300X has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
