Ryzen 3 1200 vs Ryzen 5 7600X specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 7600X performs better than the Ryzen 3 1200. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1200 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 5 7600X has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 1200. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7600X has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 1200. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1200. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 1200. Also, the Ryzen 5 7600X has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 1200 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7600X has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 1200. The Ryzen 5 7600X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
