Ryzen 3 1200 vs FX-8370E specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 1200 is faster than the FX-8370E. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8370E in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the FX-8370E has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-8370E has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 1200. Also, the FX-8370E has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 1200 CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8370E CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the FX-8370E has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 3 1200. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
