Ryzen 3 1200 vs Core i5-12600K specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12600K is faster than the Ryzen 3 1200. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 1200 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-12600K has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 3 1200 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 1200. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-12600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 3 1200. Also, the Core i5-12600K has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 3 1200 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-12600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 3 1200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
