Ryzen 3 1200 vs Core i3-8109U comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 1200 performs better than the Core i3-8109U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-8109U in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 3 1200 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-8109U. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 1200 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-8109U. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 1200 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-8109U. Despite this, the Core i3-8109U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-8109U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 1200 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 1200 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-8109U. The Ryzen 3 1200 also has significantly more L3 cache.
