Radeon Vega 3 vs GeForce 840M benchmarks

For gaming, the GeForce 840M graphics card is better than the Radeon Vega 3 in our tests.

Our database shows that the GeForce 840M has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce 840M also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the Radeon Vega 3 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the GeForce 840M at 33 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce 840M over the Radeon Vega 3.
