Radeon RX 7900 XT vs Radeon RX 7700 XT benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT in gaming.

By comparing the spec sheets, both the Radeon RX 7900 XT and the Radeon RX 7700 XT have the same base clock speed. Despite this, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 7900 XT has significantly more memory with 20 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has a slightly lower TDP at 245 W when compared to the Radeon RX 7900 XT at 315 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 7900 XT is faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT.
