Radeon RX 7900 XT vs GeForce RTX 4060 Ti benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 7900 XT beats the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 7900 XT has significantly more memory with 20 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a significantly lower TDP at 160 W when compared to the Radeon RX 7900 XT at 315 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 7900 XT is better than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.
