Radeon RX 7800 XT vs Radeon RX 7700 XT benchmarks

For gaming, the Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 7700 XT in our tests.

By comparing the spec sheets, both the Radeon RX 7800 XT and the Radeon RX 7700 XT have the same base clock speed. Despite this, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 7800 XT has slightly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.

In addition, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has a slightly lower TDP at 245 W when compared to the Radeon RX 7800 XT at 263 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 7800 XT is faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT.
