Radeon RX 6950 XT vs Radeon RX 7700 XT specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon RX 6950 XT GPU is faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT in gaming.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 6950 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6950 XT has slightly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Radeon RX 7700 XT has a slightly lower TDP at 245 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6950 XT at 335 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6950 XT is better than the Radeon RX 7700 XT.
